Every member of our parish community is rightly concerned about the Covid-19 virus and its possible impact on our health and day to day life. Each of us can play our part by following government advice about good hygiene, protecting ourselves from infection and minimising the risk of spreading the virus to others. We pray that all who are affected in any way by the virus, will know God’s grace and strength.
The latest Government advice can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus
All the faithful are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of obligation.
Parishes will do all they can to raise awareness of available opportunities to participate in Mass via radio, TV, and web streaming. Information will be shared on the Diocesan website, www.downandconnor.org, and through parish social media.
The celebration of Confirmation, First Confession and First Holy Communion
As previously advised, the programme of Confirmations, First Confessions and First Holy Communions remains suspended until further notice.
These directives will be kept under regular review and any change will be notified as soon as possible
