RE-OPENING OF CHURCHES AS PLACES OF PRAYER
The Northern Ireland Executives announced recently that churches could be re-opened as of Wednesday 20th May. Following on from than announcement, the Diocese of Down & Connor issued guidelines for the re-opening of churches for personal prayer. The six parish churches within our pastoral community have now re-opened and are accessible for private prayer. Those who visit to pray will be expected to observe social distancing whilst in the church, in addition to following the directions of the stewards.
If you would like to volunteer as a steward, please contact the parish office of your particular parish, providing your name and contact details. It is important that stewards are categorised as non-vulnerable by virtue of age or underlying health condition. It must be emphasised that the health and safety of visitors to the church is paramount.
