Update: Due to the recent decision of the Northern Ireland Executive to close churches for public worship from 27th November 2020, we will be unable to receive your donated items in the church. You can still drop your items at Lisburn Foodbank and you can find directions to it below.
After a very successful Advent Appeal in 2019, the Parish Pastoral Council proposes that the Lisburn Foodbank should again be the recipient of our 2020 Advent Appeal. This is a project founded by local churches and community groups working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. The Pandemic has created hardship and poverty for many in our community and the Lisburn Foodbank is seeing more demand than ever.
A number of churches are supporting them with specific items so that they can make varied hampers for people in need coming up to Christmas. The specific items our Parish have been asked to donate are Pringles, Stuffing Dry Mix and tins of biscuits. They are grateful for other non-perishable donations as well but they ask for specific items so the hamper packing process can be much more efficient. You can drop your donations off at the Lisburn Foodbank.
